I am looking to form a band doing mainly covers to start with but in the hope of incorporating original material. I have an eclectic taste in music and like to perform in a variety of styles my favourite Artists include Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Paramore, Pixie Lott, Coldplay, Keane, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Annie Lennox, Beverley Knight, Christina Aguilera, Florence and the Machine, Linkin Park, Elton John, Evanescence, Michael Jackson, Kelly Clarkson, the Killers, Maroon 5 and Phil Collins. Basically, anything that has a great melody and accompaniment. I'm not really into performing the exact original versions so would like to form a band where we form our own interpretations of the songs to add originality. I also play the piano and have been performing for a few years as a soloist at weddings and pubs - but it gets a little lonely and musically you're quite limited. In addition, I have a degree in Music Technology so am a competent producer and sound engineer, I have pro tools at home so would ideally like to do some recordings.

We are a gigging folk rock outfit based in warwickshire. The lineup is electric fiddle, female vocals, drums, bass and, usually, guitar but our last guitarist left and we need a replacement. We are all in our late forties/early fifties and we all have full time jobs so, although we take the music seriously, it has to fit around families and jobs. We usually rehearse once a fortnight and gig 3 or 4 times a month. Although the music is fiddle driven there is plenty of scope for a guitarist to shine playing lead and rhythm.
